Mission:

The fisheries group has started its activities from 1993 (since the establishment of Department of Natural Resources). It is our mission to contribute to academic and fundamental research and the synergy between the basic and applied knowledge in the field of fisheries and aquatic sciences. In particular the main training theme and research domain of the group includes ichthyology (inland and marine fishes), fish genetics, nutrition, fish reproductive physiology, live food, fish diseases, stock assessment, freshwater ecology and aquatic environments monitoring.

Graduate and Postgraduate Programs

The fisheries group offers BSc (fisheries Science & engineering), MSc (aquaculture and aquatic ecology) and PhD (aquaculture) programs. Our group provides courses on a broad range of topics relevant to the fisheries and aquatic sciences.
